Finally, I’ve reached a goal of 3K subscribers to Dispatches From the Basement! As most of you know, I simply send out a poem every week as a temporary reprieve from the noise of politics and the culture war.
I’m honored to have a strong (strong for poetry!) audience.

Wonderful news! It is encouraging to see that it is completely viable to "succeed" as a poet outside of the mainstream publishing world/machine. The latter may be fine for some, but it shouldn't be the only channel available to poets. Other artistic pursuits enjoy many different avenues for distribution/sharing/discovery, and poetry should be no different. Keep up the great work, and here's to doubling that number sooner than later! ☺️
