Thanks to everyone who picked up a copy of Decades: Selected Poems. Throughout the week it was the #1 Best Seller in American Poetry on Amazon, and #2 in Poetry overall. I can’t fully express how grateful I am to have an audience for my work that does not depend on the gatekeepers of the literary world — it’s nice to be free!
On Monday, I appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show. You can watch a clip from that appearance here.
If I ever release an audiobook version of Decades, I hope Megyn will record it. She reads my work beautifully, as you’ll hear if you watch the clip.
On Wednesday, a production truck (studio on wheels) pulled up to my apartment building, and I stepped inside to be interviewed by Tucker Carlson. I’m not sure when that interview will be posted, but I can tell you that we took a deep dive into the story of my cancellation and how I rebuilt my life.
I’ll leave you, for now, with a haiku.
Like barbed wire, dead vines loop through a chain-link fence—globes of frozen rain cling.
So excited for you, man. You’ve worked hard and have earned this. Can’t wait to watch interview. Also, as always, fire poem. Vines like barbed wire looping through the chain-link is subtly brilliant. You even give nature itself a place among the manmade, or vice-versa.
Went out and bought your book based on your wonderful appearance on Megyn Kelly’s show. Thank you for your talent and creativity!
