This incisive meditation challenges me as I prepare to return to teaching for the upcoming year. I pray that the Lord will grant me the courage & strength to embrace this calling—“the work” I have “been given” seeking “infinity” through daily tasks that signify the eternal in the most unexpected of ways. Thank you!
This was really cool, especially: "A power line in the fog, sloping toward infinity." This last line really convey to how it feels to start a draft from scratch. Limitless possibilities but with no indication on how or where to start.
Beautiful. It’s going up to 113 degrees F this week here in Las Vegas. The beginning of 4 months of extreme temperatures. feel this poem’s first line.

I love this, Joseph.
Thank you, Amanda!
Brilliant.
Thanks JM. I am adopting this as my morning mantra. Hope the move is painless or at least provides a few lines of inspiration.
I love how you describe it as being outside the poem, trying to get in.. i feel that.
